If I could go back to any of the destinations again right now, I would want to be back in Prague! The architecture and overall vibe is really just incredible. Unfortunately, this was also when sickness hit me, hard. But, I tried my hardest to make the most out of Prague while I was there even though I felt miserable. We stayed at the Don Giovanni (http://www.hotelgiovanni.cz), which is a little ways outside of the main square but there is a metro station not even a block away which made it easy for me to come back and rest if I had to! Our first full day started with a guided tour of the city with a local guide. We saw all the must see sights Prague has to offer including the castle, Charles Bridge, and the John Lennon Wall.
We were lucky that the Christmas Market in the main square was still up! There are these pastries called Trdelniks which are like cinnamon rolls but can be filled with Nutella or ice cream! These little beauties are grilled and turned so the sugar hardens on the outside. They are famous in the Czech Republic and so so good!
But by far my favorite thing that we did was go up the tower in the old town square for panoramic views of the whole city! You go inside, pay for a ticket and ride an elevator up to the top! The actual walk way around is pretty narrow so we were lucky it wasn't too busy and we could take our time taking photos.
Prague is definitely still on my bucket list to experience in the spring or summer! It would be even more magical if you could walk around without being cold all the time. Next, we are heading to the country thats hill are alive with the sound of music!
Until next time,
meg✨
